Chapter 12

Jeremy meets the Prince

           After Xylia, Becca and me went back to our house, Jeremy and the guys continue to play with their swords with each other. As they were playing happily, they saw a grand boat. Everyone started shouting, “Long live King Henry VI”

Jeremy: The king has come to visit our country with his……….

Branson: With the prince. (continue the sentence).

Jeremy: How I wish that I can be like the prince who has all he wanted. The beautiful clothes, the clean cushion and

               everything. (looking at the prince)

Prince: Uncle Rupert, who are the boys???? (looking at Jeremy and his friends)

Lord Rupert: Don’t take any notice about them. They are bad creatures which always thinking of killing you.

King Henry VI: Hey…., don’t say such things, Rupert. You just saw them once and you started saying that they

                         want to kill my son.

Lord Rupert: Oh, I had seen them tons of times. You really don’t believe me don’t you. (looking at King Henry   

                         VI)

King Henry VI: Okay, whatever eventhough you have seen them tons of times you better don’t simply say bad

                               things about them. You as Lord must show good example to the people not bad example.

                              ( Looking at Rupert)

Lord Rupert: Yes your, Majesty.

                  The prince kept on looking at Jeremy and Jeremy too look at the prince. They both have the same thought. The prince wish to be free while Jeremy wanted to live in the palace. They smile at each other. That is how they say “ Hi.” Hahhahahahhaa……..that was what Shane told me. Oh, I haven’t introduce Jeremy. Jeremy is a very poor guy who has a cruel father named John Riller, a beautiful mother, two sisters and a grandmother. He usually spend time with his best friends, Xylia, Becca and me. Why I say that Jeremy’s father was a cruel man?? His best friends told me that his father had called him to the things that it is not right like stealing. Jeremy doesn’t like to steal. He never in his life steal anything. His father often pulls him and beat him.

John Riller: I want you to steal the money so that I can use it. Is that clear! (shaking him cunningly) If you don’t

                       do it I will kill you.

Jeremy: Yes, Papa ( felt afraid of his father)

           Shane continued the story.” They went to the place where people gathered around to watch the people who has committed a crime getting burned to death. His father saw a man plenty of money in a small little pocket bag and he whispered to Jeremy. “Go, get it.” But Jeremy doesn’t want to do it. The father was very angry. He took out his sword, snatch the money from the man and killed him. John Riller quickly passed it to an innocent man. Jeremy saw that his father had killed the man with his very own eyes. He wanted to tell everybody but he was afraid. He think and think and finally he decided to tell. As he wanted to tell, John chased him and wanted to kill him. Jeremy ran as fast as he could. He ran in the castle before the gate is closed. The castle is belongs to King Henry VI’s cousin. King Henry VI went to visit his precious cousin.

Fran: Hey….why you stop half-way, Shane??? Go on..(can’t wait what’s happening next)

Shane: I’m sorry. We just know until here.

Xylia: Where is Jeremy now??? I hope that he is alright. (began to worry)

Becca: It’s okay, Xylia. He will be alright. Don’t worry!

In the castle   

Prince: What’s your name?? (asking Jeremy)

Jeremy: I’m Jeremy, your highness. (bowed politely)

Prince: I’m Hansel. Nice to meet you, Jeremy. Where do you live??

Jeremy: I live in a small cottage at the nearby morning market.

Hansel: So, do you have a family??

Jeremy: Yes, I have a mother, two sisters, an aunt, my grandmother and…….. (stopped)

Hansel: No father??? (looking at Jeremy)

Jeremy: Yes, I don’t have a father.

Hansel: And I don’t have a mother. I have always wanted to dressed in rags and be free to explore my uncle’s

              country without bodyguards.

Jeremy: Cool. I had always wanted to be dressed in……..

Hansel: Like this??  (showing his outfit) Come on, let us not waste time and change each other’s outfits so that our

              dreams will come true.

           They both changed their outfits and looked in the mirror.

Hansel: Wow! We really look similar, especially our voice, our looks and even our attitude.

Jeremy: Yah, you are right, your highness. We really look alike.

Hansel: So, do you have any friends to play with??

Jeremy: Yes, Branson, Shane and Dustin are my best friends. I have some friends which are girls. They are Xylia,

                the girl whom I fell in love with, Fran, the tomboyish girl and Becca, the soft-hearted girl.

Hansel: What did you and your friends always play?? (asking Jeremy)

Jeremy: We usually play with the wooden swords because we don’t have any swords like yours.

Hansel: Please impersonate me so that I can go out and have some adventure around my uncle’s country.

Jeremy: But I’ll miss Xylia.

Hansel: I’ll help you to inform her, okay!

Jeremy: Oh, I forgot to tell you that Fran is a really good swordswoman. She has never lose any single match. She
               always win every match.

Hansel: Okay, maybe I can try to defeat her. Don’t worry. She will be defeated. (burst out laughing)

Jeremy:      (started laughing too)

Hansel: Okay, I better go before the gates are closed

           Prince Hansel waved goodbye to Jeremy and close the door. Jeremy had to impersonate the prince. Both Jeremy and Prince Hansel are happy to have their own dreams.
